TRS chief targets YSRC, BJP in speech

Telangana Rashtra Sammiti chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao only got about 15 minutes time to attack YSR Congress and to some extent the BJP, when he was forced to cut short his address due to rains at the party’s public meeting site venue at Angadi centre in Parkal at around 8:30 pm
Telangana Rashtra Sammiti chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao only got about 15 minutes time to attack YSR Congress and to some extent the BJP, when he was forced to cut short his address due to rains at the party’s public meeting site venue at Angadi centre in Parkal at around 8:30 pm.
Both the rival Desam and Congress were spared of his usual barbs, thanks to the sudden down pour that forced the large gathering at the Angadi ground to stand up.
Hitting out at YSRC honorary president Y.S. Vijayalakshmi’s comment during her Parkal campaign that Polavaram would have been completed if former chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy were alive, Mr Rao asked the YSRC nominee Konda Surekha to explain whether she is also in favour of Polavaram project.
“Ms Surekha is working as a slave to the YSRC. Therefore, vote for TRS’ nominee Mologuri Bikshapathi, who will stay locally with you,” he said, while giving a call to the Parkal people to give such a mandate that all the four parties forfeit their security deposits. He also hit out at the Konda couple for their alleged ‘goondagiri’ in Parkal. Interestingly, Mr Rao took potshots at BJP after his recent controversial Telangana-in-three-months- statement created a storm.
“What is wrong with that. Is it wrong to dream about realising Telangana state in one day,” he asked, while blaming BJP for ‘playing politics on Telangana issue’ in his brief reference to the saffron party. “The BJP is playing politics around Telangana and seeking votes,” he added.
