HYDERABAD: Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) has reiterated its stand saying that they were not ready to accept any alternative proposals other than separate state for Telangana.
The TJAC steering committee met here at TNGO Bhavan on Friday under the leadership of Professor M Kodandaram.
The meeting discussed the ongoing political developments in Delhi and Hyderabad and decided to lead a delegation to Delhi before July 10 and submit a memorandum to President Pratibha Patil on the Telangana issue.
The TJAC has also decided to continue protest programmes in the region and directed all the district units to observe Vanta Varpu all over the region.
The meeting had also decided to hold discussions with all the elected representatives of the region and convince them to quit their posts. Kodandaram held discussions with senior Congress leader K Keshava Rao.
Later speaking to reporters Kodandaram said they would intensify the movement in the coming months to achieve their goal.
