17 employee associations formed for T

Jan. 1: The ongoing separate Telangana movement has influenced the government employees of the region as almost all the employees associations of Andhra Pradesh have vertically divided and separate Telangana Associations have been formed. As many as 17 Telangana organisations were formed recently and received recognition from General Administration Department (GAD).

The state bodies of government employees of various departments were divided, including electricity, excise, hostel wardens, medical and health, village revenue officers, women and child welfare, and cooperative department.

Ashok Kumar, general secretary of district unit of TNGOs said that 17 Telangana Associations were formed and received recognition from the GAD. He said AP Revenue Employees Association and AP Treasury Employees Association were not divided.

Muppala Krishna Kumar, general secretary of AP Typists and Stenographers Association belonging to Adilabad, who resigned from his post, said that his association was divided and is applying to GAD for recognition of Telangana Typists and Stenographers Association being formed soon.
