New T front is born, to contest polls
TNN, Oct 22, 2010
HYDERABAD : Another Telangana joint action committee consisting of 34 Telangana organisations was formed on Thursday. This new front unlike that of balladdeer Gaddar will take an active part in electoral politics along with organising series of agitations.
The prominent among the 34 organisations are Arunodaya Sanskritika Mandali president and banned Janashakthi leader Amar’s wife Vimalakka, Telangana Ikya Vedika president Keshav Rao Jadav and Telangana Vimochana Samithi president K Dililp Kumar. The committee will kick-start Telangana movement from Warangal on Friday.
Vimalakka who earlier wanted to join Gaddar’s front differed with him as he was against electoral politics. Stating that the committee would fight for Telangana and also participate in elections if necessary, the leaders said that the committee was not against any organisation or front which was fighting for a separate state.
The new JAC demanded that the Centre introduce a bill for Telangana in Parliament in the ensuing winter session. The new front would not have any president or chairman. It will function under a collective leadership. “All are equal partners,” the front leaders said. They would organise agitational programmes in all districts on November 1 which happens to be the AP Formation Day.
