TRS rejects resolution offer

HYDERABAD: The Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) has rejected the offer of Chief Minister K. Rosaiah to introduce a resolution in Assembly not recognising Hyderabad as a ‘free zone’ for purpose of recruitment as a deep-rooted conspiracy by the government to dilute separate Telangana movement.

The government aimed to drive a wedge between the party and the employees after the latter threatened to organise a ‘pen down’ strike in support of the fast by TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao, party MLAs T. Harish Rao and K. Taraka Rama Rao told media persons separately on Sunday.

They said the government decided to introduce a resolution on the issue of free zone status for Hyderabad which was opposed by employees in a bid to appease them. It apparently realised the threat to administration on account of pen down strike called by the employees while taking the decision. As a fall-out of the move, the government aimed to distance the employees from TRS. They added that the offer of Mr. Rosaiah to lift cases on TRS chief was another conspiracy to distance party workers from the movement.
