New Delhi, Oct. 26: Justice Srikrishna, who is heading the committee to examine the demand for a separate state of Telangana on Tuesday declared that the committee would submit its report on or before the December 31, 2010. However, he refused to declare whether the report would be decisive or not.

The Srikrishna committee met in the capital to begin the process of preparing the report that needs to be submitted to the government.

Later, while briefing reporters, Justice Srikrishna said that the meeting was a routine one. “It was a routine meeting. We have begun preparing the report. We might submit it anytime before December 31,” he said.

When specifically asked as to what his prescription for the Telangana imbroglio would be, justice Srikrishna sounded evasive by saying that the committee would propose an optimal solution to the problem.
