I went to his house in Rahmatnagar along with my guru S.V.V.Subbarayudu some twenty five years ago.Fire in him was still burning even at that age.He discussed at length his plans for revival of Telugu Gadda.He hoped that revival of his publication would lead to revival of Telangana struggle.Paucity of resources was the dampener.At the same time he was conscious that publication in the absence of popular struggle was a futile exercise. Sadly, he was a victim of backlash that Telangana witnessed after 1969 agitation.I remember that arrest warrant was issued against him on the pretext of violation of Registration of Newspapers for India(RNI) regulations. Even this has not disheartened him.Subbarayudua even on his death bed,fondly remembered his colleague and compatriot Ramakantha rao and his contributions to Telangana struggle.I bow head to address salutations to both of them.I also thank those who posted the copy of Telugu Gadda that made me nostalgic this pleasant morning.
